Exowatt fine-tunes smaller models for energy operations with SageMaker and Bedrock
Exowatt and AWS have built a serverless model-customisation pipeline for solar-system alarm triage and energy-market analysis. Fine-tuned Qwen models reportedly outperformed larger frontier baselines on the narrow tasks, with the cloud model reaching 0.975 macro-F1 at about 49 times lower inference cost than Claude Opus 4.7. Amazon Bedrock supports paraphrasing, benchmarking and deployment.
