University of Arizona uses Bedrock to accelerate rare-disease drug repurposing
A University of Arizona lab has connected Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker AI and HealthOmics into a research pipeline for rare paediatric disorders. The eight-person team uses foundation models to interpret sequencing results and investigate approved drugs that may affect the same biological pathways, expanding research capacity without claiming to replace laboratory or clinical validation.
