Claude for Government reaches general availability for US agencies
Anthropic says Claude for Government is generally available to US federal and state agencies after a public beta. The 30 September announcement describes a FedRAMP High authorised environment, usage-based purchasing with hard spending caps, and department-level administration. Claude Code’s command-line interface and Claude for Microsoft 365 remain in early access within that environment.
