Claude Sonnet 5.5 targets faster everyday coding and knowledge work
Anthropic has launched Claude Sonnet 5.5 with faster output and lower claimed cost per completed task than Sonnet 5. API token rates remain US$2 input and US$10 output per million. The model is available through Claude and major cloud partners, with new effort settings and migration considerations for developers switching from thinking-off configurations.
