Cohere research pushes reasoning into the user’s own language
Cohere Labs researchers say carefully mixed training data can make a reasoning model think in the user’s language rather than translating internally through English. Tiny Aya L2-Thinker reportedly achieves more than a 93 per cent in-language reasoning rate across 60 languages. The open model, dataset and paper offer a useful basis for replication and cultural-bias testing.
