Google runs first Gemma response on a data-centre TPU in orbit
Google says its Project Suncatcher prototype has produced the first AI response from a data-centre-class TPU in orbit. Engineers uplinked prompts to the satellite’s Gemma 4 model and received generated text during a ground-station pass. The milestone follows early machine-learning tests and precedes planned thermal, radiation and inter-satellite experiments.
