Google Cloud makes programmable spend caps generally available
Google Cloud has made spend caps on Cloud Budgets generally available, adding an API, live cost visibility and automated guardrails for eligible services. AI-service caps can react within minutes using estimated live costs. The controls are intended to limit runaway expenditure without deleting resources, while still requiring teams to plan for delayed estimates and service behaviour at the boundary.
