Google open-sources TorchTPU for native PyTorch on its accelerators
Google has open-sourced TorchTPU, its PyTorch-native backend for training, serving and reinforcement learning on Cloud TPUs. Familiar eager-mode debugging can move to torch.compile for production, while vLLM, SGLang, Hugging Face, Ray and llm-d integrations reduce hardware-specific rewrites. LiteRT also joins the PyTorch ecosystem for conversion to edge devices.
