Google Search puts more source links inside AI answers
Google is updating AI Mode and AI Overviews with more prominent inline links, dedicated panels for official websites, timely news carousels and clickable creator profiles. Preferred Sources usage has grown more than sevenfold this year, signalling demand for user control as AI-generated answers become a larger gateway to original web content.
