OpenAI has added scheduled automations to the Agents API, allowing developers to start new agent sessions or continue existing ones on recurring cron schedules or at a future time. The release includes invocation records, agent-managed follow-ups, named time zones, pause and resume controls, and guidance for keeping repeated work in delegated sessions.
