Google AI Studio is the browser workspace for prototyping with Gemini models, creating Gemini API keys and moving applications into Google Cloud deployment.
Free and paid tiers
As of August 5, 2026, the Free Tier provides limited access to supported models and free input and output tokens, with lower rate limits and content eligible to improve Google's products. The Paid Tier requires a prepaid billing balance, with an initial minimum top-up of US$10, and adds higher limits, context caching, batch pricing and a policy that paid prompts and outputs are not used to improve Google's products.
Current Gemini 3.5 Flash standard API pricing is US$1.50 per million input tokens and US$9 per million output tokens. Cached input costs US$0.15 per million tokens plus US$1 per million tokens per hour for storage. Batch processing is US$0.75 input and US$4.50 output, while Priority processing is US$2.70 input and US$16.20 output per million tokens. Google Search grounding includes the first 5,000 monthly queries across eligible projects, then costs US$14 per 1,000 queries.
Enterprise
Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform uses custom pricing and adds enterprise support, security and compliance controls, provisioned throughput and volume discounts. Deploying an AI Studio application to Cloud Run creates separate Google Cloud infrastructure charges.
