What is Luma?
Luma is a generative visual platform whose current first-party models are the Ray3.2 video family and UNI-1.1 image/multimodal family, delivered through the Luma app and API.
Core offerings
- Text-, image- and video-guided video creation with Ray3.2.
- Image creation and modification with UNI.
- Third-party model access within the Luma ecosystem.
- Team and enterprise collaboration plus a separate developer API.
Pricing
Luma lists individual Plus at US$30/month, Pro at US$90/month and Ultra at US$300/month, with annual totals of US$300, US$900 and US$3,000 respectively. Team and Enterprise are contact-sales plans. Credit use varies by model, action, resolution and audio.
API and model availability
Luma's authoritative model guidance says Ray3.2 and UNI-1.1 are current and explicitly says not to present Dream Machine or Ray2 as current models. Those two current first-party families are tracked on the API Cost page; deprecated Ray2-era entries are omitted.
Why select Luma?
Luma is worth considering for high-end visual generation where HDR, video editing and current first-party image/video models matter.
