remove.bg automatically removes image backgrounds through its website, desktop and design-tool integrations, and API. One credit produces one full-resolution result up to 50 megapixels; a preview up to 0.25 megapixels is free on the website and costs one-quarter credit through apps and the API.
Free and subscription pricing
As of August 7, 2026, free use includes unlimited low-resolution website previews, one full-resolution credit after signup, and 50 free preview-size API or desktop-app calls each month.
Australian monthly subscriptions are Personal with 40 credits for A$13, Professional with 200 for A$59, 500 for A$129, 1,200 for A$279, 2,800 for A$579, or 5,000 for A$869, and Business starting with 7,500 credits for A$1,190. Annual billing lowers those effective monthly rates to A$11.70, A$53.10, A$116.10, A$251.10, A$521.10, A$782.10, and A$1,071 respectively.
Every paid tier supports high-resolution downloads and API, desktop and integration use; the primary difference is the monthly credit allowance. Subscription credits reset each month. There are no automatic overage fees: processing pauses after the allowance is exhausted unless the customer upgrades or has pay-as-you-go credits.
Pay-as-you-go
One-off Australian packs cost A$4.30 for three credits, A$13 for ten, A$69 for 75, A$149 for 200, A$299 for 500, A$599 for 1,200, A$1,479 for 4,000, or A$2,499 for 8,000. These credits do not expire and act as a backup after subscription credits are used. Paid subscriptions carry a 14-day money-back guarantee.
