Seed is ByteDance's AI research and model organisation. Its current public catalogue spans general-purpose agent models, multimodal understanding, image, video, audio, speech, 3D, science and robotics research rather than a single self-serve subscription product.
Current model availability
As of September 11, 2026, Seed's official catalogue highlights the Seed2.1 general agent family, Seed2.0 Pro, Lite and Mini, SeedRealtime, Seed Audio 1.0, Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, Seedream 5.0 Pro and Lite, Seedream 4.5 and 4.0, SeedEdit 3.0, Seed3D 2.0 and 1.0, Seeduplex, Seed LiveInterpret 2.0, Seed Realtime Voice, Seed-Music, BAGEL and research models for science and robotics.
Pricing and API access
Seed does not publish a universal subscription price or a complete numeric API rate card on its own official site. Commercial API access is routed through ByteDance cloud products such as BytePlus ModelArk or Volcano Ark, where availability and pricing vary by model and region. Seedance 2.5 is currently rolling out in ByteDance products and its official launch says ModelArk API access is coming soon, so it is not represented as a live priced API here.
