What is Shopify Sidekick
Shopify Sidekick is an AI commerce assistant built into the Shopify admin. It uses a store's real-time data to answer questions, generate content and images, analyse performance, build supported apps and automations, and propose administrative changes for the merchant to review.
Sidekick price and Shopify plans
As of August 6, 2026, Sidekick has no separate fee: it is included with Shopify plans, although capabilities and usage limits vary by plan. Shopify's Australian pricing lists Basic at A$56 month to month or A$42 per month billed annually, Grow at A$149 or A$114 annually, Advanced at A$575 or A$431 annually, and Plus starting at A$3,700 per month.
All four plans provide a full online store, unlimited products, multichannel selling, inventory management, analytics and support. Grow adds five staff accounts and lower payment rates; Advanced increases this to 15 staff accounts, enhances support and selected API capacity; and Plus adds unlimited staff, expanded B2B and enterprise checkout, administration and API capabilities.
AI capabilities by plan
Sidekick respects each staff member's Shopify permissions and asks for confirmation before applying changes. Core guidance, content, analysis and store-management assistance are included across Shopify plans. Generating custom apps with Sidekick is currently limited to Grow, Advanced and Shopify Plus stores.
