What is Shopify Sidekick
Shopify Sidekick is the AI commerce assistant inside Shopify. It can answer questions about store data, create content and images, help configure discounts and collections, modify themes and perform supported administrative actions.
Shopify plans
As of August 4, 2026, Sidekick is included at no additional charge with a Shopify subscription, although features and usage limits vary by plan. Shopify's US pricing lists Basic at US$39 monthly or US$29 per month billed annually, Grow at US$105 monthly or US$79 annually, and Advanced at US$399 monthly or US$299 annually. Shopify Plus starts at US$2,300 per month.
Basic supports individual entrepreneurs with online and in-person selling. Grow adds five staff accounts, improved shipping discounts and lower payment rates. Advanced adds 15 staff accounts, custom reports and analytics, enhanced support and greater checkout capacity, while Plus is the enterprise plan with advanced customisation and organisation controls.
AI capabilities
Shopify Magic is free across Shopify subscriptions, with individual feature availability varying. Sidekick can analyse store information, draft copy and media, assist with themes and automate supported workflows. Sidekick's app-generation capability is currently limited to Grow, Advanced and Plus stores.
