What is Sourcegraph Cody
Cody is Sourcegraph’s code-aware AI assistant for chat, completion, editing, and analysis across large codebases. It now exists only as an enterprise capability within Sourcegraph rather than as the former self-serve Free or Pro product.

Pricing

Enterprise Starter costs US$19 per seat per month for a fully managed multi-tenant deployment with private code indexing, search, and Sourcegraph's AI experience. Enterprise Dedicated Cloud and Enterprise Self Hosted are listed at US$59 per user per month with a 25-developer minimum; self-hosting is sales-assisted. Enterprise adds Batch Changes, Code Insights, Code Navigation, enterprise security, guardrails, context filters, broader code-host support, and 24×5 support options.
Model footprint
Cody can use Sourcegraph Model Provider for managed access to models from providers including Anthropic and OpenAI, or an enterprise can configure its own provider. Sourcegraph’s public docs do not expose a current fixed model-by-model Cody allowance, so buyers need a sales quote for credits and deployment scope.
Why select Sourcegraph Cody
Cody is now relevant mainly to teams evaluating Sourcegraph for private-code search, large-codebase understanding, and governance. Enterprise Starter offers a lower-cost managed entry point; larger or self-hosted deployments use Enterprise.
